Essential Survival Gear
From a well-fitted backpack and shelter to water filters, first aid, and a way to start a fire, a practical walk-through of the gear that keeps your family safe and fed when the grid goes down.
Ronald's been taking things apart since before US Preppers existed, just to see if they hold up. Research, writing, gear testing, all of it runs through him, and the kitchen table pays for it. Bug-out bags get stripped to the stitching. Water filters get timed against each other, over and over, longer than anyone reasonable would bother. Food storage claims get checked against a bucket that's actually sat in a garage through a real winter and a real summer, not a lab. If he hasn't put his hands on it, or trusts someone who has, it doesn't make it past him. It's not really a work thing, it's just how he's built. Reads the manual first, asks the annoying question second. Lives in the U.S., and a new box on the porch still gets treated like the start of something worth figuring out.
